The 20th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, the special prize displayed at the entrance

Thanks for the support, we were given a special prize for contributing to the manga culture from both sides of museum and library. There was a ceremony held on May 29th this year.

Sponsored by The Asahi Shimbun, the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize was founded in 1997 for the development of Japan's manga culture. It is named after the late Osamu Tezuka, a legendary manga artist who was pivotal in the development of comic books in Japan.

Manga museum is reaching to 10th anniversary on 25th November. Getting such a prize couldn’t have happened without the support from everybody.

Please take a look at the prize displayed at the entrance when you visit the museum.
