Sakura tree

Everywhere in Kyoto where there are cherry blossom tree has been very busy. Our museum has a big old cherry blossom tree too.

The tree is around 70 years old, the amount of flower has been decreasing because the crows are eating the branches.

This photo was taken the other day and now the flowers are almost gone. However the flower petals are slowly getting to the ground and making cherry blossom rug.

You can see how our cherry blossom came into bloom on the "Kyoto cherry blossom diary 2011" operated by KBS Kyoto.
