Yanase Takashi exhibition is finishing on the 26th this month.

When you hear his name you probably remember Anpanman however he actually does many things apart from being a picture book author, like manga-ka, poet, editor, character designer and singer. So at this exhibition we wanted to try to show everything about him.

There are five sections to learn about him from when he was born to today.
　


　
It is a very satisfying exhibition for sure.
You will be surprised with the amount of things he has done.
　

　
Of course there is Anpanman. You will find out how that character was born.
Did you know that Anpanman started as a guy who carries Anpan bread?
　
"If you want to do the right thing you have to be ready to be hurt."
"The real superman wouldn't save his kindness."
　
Anpanman is maybe for children but it has a deep meaning too. That's probably why they love Anpanman.
　

　
This wall has many characters he made for local areas.
You might find the characters you know.
　

　
So this is what exhibition looks like. Some people cry in front of his work because of some kind of sorrow feeling in his work.
　
Even though Yanase is 91 he still works hard. This fact tells you that you can start something anytime in you life, it's not too late yet.
　
　
There also is a related play room where children can play with Anpanman goods and watch Anpanman.
