To understand how important the human rights are, we had an exhibition Manga for human rights by four set words idiomatic phrase organized by Kyoto city until 27th this month.

Since the disaster attacked north part of Japan we now know how badly it damaged people's lives over there. However how people have been patient and looking after each other can remind us that we all should think of each other in general. We hope this exhibition reminded people something important.

We had an award ceremony for Manga for human rights by four set words idiomatic phrase on March 21st at the museum.

The main judge Makino Keiichi (Kyoto Seika University International Manga Research center) gave prizes to the winners.

We also have special selections of manga on the first floor.

　・Chiba Tetsuya selection
　　　A mook of Chiba Tetsuya was published celebrating 55 years anniversary of his life as mangaka. In this book one of our researchers wrote and edited descriptions about his 40 major works. You can find lots of his publications here.
