Japanese holiday golden week is half way through and the special exhibition “La Rose de Versailles” is finishing this Sunday 8th. Museum has been open everyday through the golden week.
◆La Rose de Versailles Exhibition
【March 19 - May 8, 2011】
Another exhibition we have is Yamada Akihiro exhibition –Worlds from a Magic Brush-. His work has such an original atmosphere like in a fantasy world.
He appeared in a live painting show at the museum yesterday. People who did shopping at the museum shop (100 people only) could have his autograph. People who could not make it to the museum enjoyed his talented skills on Ustream live channel.

Manga artists usually wouldn’t exhibit their original works because of the possibilities for damaging them. To overcome this problem and to be able to preserve and exhibit these materials we have a project called Genga’(Dash). An exhibition of Genga’(Dash) is on until 15th May Sunday.
We are exhibiting 60 replicated works of Watanabe Masako and Kai Yukiko. We would like you to think about how we should appreciate original illustrated works in the exhibition.
