Events for Japan Media Arts Festival in Kyoto.

For the Japan Media Arts Festival in Kyoto a talk show and a symposium was held at the museum last weekend.

On 4th Saturday there was a talk show with manga artist Isogarashi Daisuke who is the author of "Children of the Sea", chief editor Egami Hideki and editor Toyoda Yumetaro from "Monthly IKKI".
They all knew each other, they spoke about when Isogarashi was small and a background story of his creativity.

I personally thought he is clever and curious so his conversation was very interesting.

The next day on the 5th we invited a game creator Miyamoto Shigeru who made Donkey Kong and Mario with our museum executive director Yoro Takeshi for a symposium.

He was obviously a hero when I was a student and even now. He at first wanted to be an industrial designer so he doesn't squash himself in the game world he thinks and looks at things from many directions, that's how he made many amazing games in the past.
He learnt how to send a message by making stories by himself drawing manga when he was small.

He also said young game creators should have wider point of view to develop the games of the future.

Japan Media Arts Festival will be held until 12th (sun), we are also doing animation shows too so please visit us !
